Description
The inspiration for Dirce comes from drawing ‘Branch with purple lilacs’ by Maria Geertruida Barbiers-Snabilié (1786-1838) from the archives of the Rijksmuseum. A lilac tree blooms in spring time and spreads a characteristic spring scent. Barbiers-Snabilié captured this perfectly by drawing the lilacs with a brush in watercolour. The elegant pattern of the Dirce is created by placing this drawing in repeat so the branches subtly fall over each other, over and over again.
Made from 100% cotton percale, which gives this duvet cover a crisp and cool feeling. Our percale bedding is made from high quality, pure cotton and is breathable and moisture absorbent. The fabric has a matte sheen, giving it both a natural and timeless look.
